The Top 500 is a prestigious global ranking of high-performance computing (HPC) systems, based on the Linpack benchmark—which measures a system’s ability to perform complex numerical calculations per second (FLOPS).
In the June 2025 edition of the Top 500 list, two AI Factories developed by FPT Corporation, located in Japan and Vietnam respectively, ranked 36th and 38th. This achievement places FPT’s AI Factories among the world’s top-tier supercomputing infrastructures, and cements FPT’s position as the No. 1 provider of commercial AI Cloud services in Japan, powered by NVIDIA’s H200 Tensor Core GPU SXM5.
Specifically, the AI Factory in Japan is equipped with 146,304 processing cores and delivers 49.85 PFlops of performance (as measured by Linpack). Meanwhile, the facility in Vietnam features 142,240 cores and achieves 46.65 PFlops.
Both factories utilize InfiniBand NDR400 networking, enabling seamless scalability from a single GPU to clusters of hundreds of parallel-processing servers in each region. This ensures high performance and low latency for deploying large-scale AI and HPC tasks.
Launched in November 2024, FPT’s AI Factory has already been selected by leading tech companies such as LandingAI to develop advanced AI solutions, contributing practical value to society.
FPT aims to build three more AI Factories globally within the next five years, helping position Vietnam as a regional leader in AI computing infrastructure.
