Vinphaco and FPT IS launch digital transformation of corporate governance
Recently, Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Vinphaco) and FPT IS have officially launched their project to deploy the general management system SAP S/4HANA and Made by FPT IS solutions. The project represents an important transformation for Vinphaco to conquer growth milestones in 2024, creating solid momentum for the digital transformation roadmap toward 2028.
The cooperation is accompanied and supported by the Enterprise Development Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through the “Improving Private Sector Competitiveness project” (USAID IPSC). Vinphaco is one of 35 leading businesses honored and provided with technical support by the Project to deploy a number of SAP S/4HANA software modules.
Specifically, the two sides will cooperate in applying core modules of the international standard system SAP S/4HANA for the pharmaceutical industry, along with four “Made by FPT IS” solutions, to create a comprehensive management platform. FPT IS will deploy the FPT Mobile Apps solution including three applications (on IOS and Android) for three target groups: pharmaceutical representatives, delivery staff, and customers.
FPT Mobile Apps is developed and deployed by FPT IS exclusively for businesses in the field of pharmaceutical and consumer goods distribution. This solution fosters the connection between pharmaceutical businesses and their customers, and promotes sales activities through traditional channels such as OTC (pharmacies), and ETC (hospitals).

Vinphaco is one of the leading injection drug manufacturers in Vietnam, offering GMP-WHO-compliant production lines for lyophilized powder injections, solution injections, all kinds of pills, and health-promoting foods. In 2024, Vinphaco will celebrate its milestone of 65 years of establishment and growth with a target of VND 1,020 billion in total revenue. In addition, Vinphaco has expanded export markets by signing contracts with 20 countries around the world while deploying investment in new production lines and advanced technological processes.
The rapid expansion of production and operation scale entails the problem of upgrading the corporate management system. Vinphaco has implemented an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system since 2012, and now needs to innovate to meet development requirements.

Cooperating with FPT IS and SAP Vietnam to deploy SAP S/4HANA solution and Made by FPT IS solutions is a step toward creating momentum to realize the digital transformation strategy roadmap 2024-2028. According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Viet – Managing Director of SAP Vietnam, the SAP S/4HANA system helps Vinphaco overcome operational barriers and establishes the foundation for exponential growth. “SAP is committed to always accompanying and supporting Vietnamese businesses like Vinphaco on their digital transformation journey. We are confident that the project will be executed effectively and fully utilize Vinphaco’s capabilities with the support of FPT IS”, Mr. Viet said.
The two parties will deploy SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud solutions and Made by FPT IS solutions for Vinphaco headquarters, pharmaceutical factories and representative offices of the company. The project is divided into two phases, with phase 1 focusing on implementing the SAP S/4HANA software system with the following modules: FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), FM (Funds Management), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), QM (Quality Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), FPT Mobile Apps, FPT Trade Promotion, eInvoice system integration, and eBanking system integration. Phase 2 will expand the SAP S/4HANA system including the following modules: WM (Warehouse Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance).
