Agribank and FPT promote innovation and digital transformation in Banking

Recently, a delegation from the Organizing Committee and contestants of Agribank’s “Agribanker masters technology in the digital age” competition visited and worked with FPT. The program was part of Agribank’s training and practical experience activities, designed to help outstanding employees explore emerging technology trends and identify opportunities for application in modern banking operations.

During the visit, Agribank delegates toured the FPT Data Center – a flagship in the Group’s technology infrastructure. Certified with the international Uptime Tier III standard, the center operates 24/7 with exceptional safety, security, and continuity, meeting the stringent requirements of banking and financial systems. Delegates also experienced an immersive VR Tour that offered a panoramic simulation of the Data Center, guided by experts from FPT Fornix.

Speaking at the high-level meeting, Mr. Ly The Dung – Senior Vice President & Deputy Director of Finance & Banking Sector, FPT IS, FPT Corporation – congratulated Agribank on the success of the “Agribanker masters technology in the digital age” competition and expressed his pride in FPT’s continued partnership with Agribank on its digital transformation journey.

“FPT and Agribank have maintained a strong partnership for over three decades, since the implementation of the first banking computerization projects in 1994,” Mr. Dung shared. “In particular, as Agribank executes Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP in alignment with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, we have witnessed the determination and pioneering spirit of Agribankers in mastering technology. This serves as a vital foundation for Agribank to realize its vision of becoming a modern bank that drives sustainable growth through technology.”

Mr. Dung also emphasized that a shared spirit of innovation is the core value connecting the two organizations:

Representing Agribank, Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha – Director of Agribank Staff Training School – expressed her gratitude to FPT for facilitating the visit and enabling the delegation to experience Vietnam’s leading technology solutions firsthand. “Today’s visit is truly meaningful, allowing us to better understand how FPT harmoniously integrates technology, people, and knowledge to drive innovation. Agribank and FPT have collaborated since 1994, and with every meeting, we witness even more clearly the remarkable growth of the Corporation,” she shared.

Ms. Ha shared that Agribank is accelerating the adoption of digital technologies across its operations and training programs. The visit to FPT provided valuable practical insights and renewed motivation for the bank’s workforce on its digital transformation journey. “With the rapid advancement of AI, data, and core technologies, I firmly believe that the partnership between Agribank and FPT will continue to expand—toward the goal of building a modern, customer-centric, and sustainable bank,” she said.

At the event, Agribank delegates were also introduced to a range of standout technology solutions within FPT’s ecosystem, showcasing the Corporation’s strong capabilities in the finance and banking sector.

Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh – AI and Data Consultant of Finance & Banking Sector, FPT IS, FPT Corporation – delivered a presentation on “Digital Culture, Innovation, and the FPT Technology Ecosystem.” He emphasized that innovation has become part of FPT’s “DNA,” serving as a foundation for enhancing employee productivity and building an ecosystem of over 200 Made by FPT products and solutions. FPT is currently focusing on five strategic pillars – AI, Semiconductor, Automotive, Digital, and Green – with AI as the driving force behind innovation, powering applications across all solutions, particularly within the banking sector.

Following the session, Mr. Tran The Trung – Deputy Director of the AI Product Division, FPT Smart Cloud, FPT Corporation – presented and conducted a live demo of the FPT.AI – FCI platform, featuring two standout products: AI Agent and AI Mentor. These intelligent solutions serve as virtual assistants and digital trainers that help businesses automate processes, enhance customer service efficiency, and optimize employee training.

Mr. Ngo Quy Kien – Head of Solution Consulting, Akabot, FPT Corporation – also introduced Akabot, FPT’s intelligent automation platform designed to minimize manual operations, boost productivity, and improve operational accuracy. The solution has been successfully deployed across major banks such as Vietcombank, VietinBank, BIDV, TPBank, Techcombank, as well as several international financial institutions.

Concluding the presentation session, Ms. Nguyen Dang Khanh Linh – Representative of the VertZero product team, FPT Corporation – introduced VertZero, FPT’s green technology platform that enables businesses to measure, manage, and automate greenhouse gas inventories. The solution supports organizations in their journey toward Net Zero goals, promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly development.

The visit served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange insights and gain a deeper understanding of each other’s needs, capabilities, and strategic directions.
