FPT announces the establishment of FPT Israel, reaffirming its commitment to mastering core technologies with Viet Nam
On January 13, 2026, FPT Corporation officially announced the establishment of FPT Israel, with the vision of developing it into a leading innovation and technology development hub connecting the startup ecosystem.
The move expands FPT’s international presence in one of the world’s foremost technology centers, contributing to Viet Nam’s efforts to master core and sovereign technologies in alignment with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg.

In Viet Nam, the announcement ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director General of the Department of Information Technology Industry under the Ministry of Science and Technology; Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee and Member of the Executive Committee of the National Cybersecurity Association; H.E. Mr. Yaron Mayer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Viet Nam; Mr. Nguyen Ky Son, Ambassador-designate of Viet Nam to Israel; Mr. Chen Peretz, Economic Counselor and Head of the Israel Economic Mission in Viet Nam; along with representatives from the Viet Nam Data Association, ministries, agencies and professional associations.
In Israel, attendees included Mr. Ofer Fohrer, Deputy Director General and Head of the Export and Investment Promotion Division under the Foreign Trade Administration, Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel; representatives of the Israel National Cyber Directorate; and numerous representatives from associations, technology enterprises and FPT partners.

At the event, FPT Corporation announced the establishment of FPT Israel as part of its strategy to expand its footprint in one of the world’s leading hubs for high technology and innovation, particularly in areas of strength aligned with Viet Nam’s strategic technology priorities and FPT’s long-term development orientation.
Through FPT Israel, the corporation aims to promote cooperation and technology exchange, establish research and development (R&D) centers, stay abreast of global technology trends to serve international customers, and focus on national strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and semiconductors.
This initiative represents a concrete step reaffirming FPT’s commitment to accompanying Viet Nam in realizing the objectives set out in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, contributing to enhanced national science and technology capacity and elevating the global standing of Vietnamese enterprises. It also enables FPT to leverage one of the world’s most advanced innovation ecosystems to co-create “Make in Viet Nam” products addressing both domestic needs and international markets.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, recalled historical connections between Viet Nam and Israel and noted:
“Viet Nam and Israel share profound similarities in their development journeys—most notably a strong aspiration for progress and a firm belief that education and technology are the keys to national advancement. President Ho Chi Minh once emphasized that Viet Nam must stand shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world through education and knowledge.
Today, that spirit continues to be realized through development strategies based on science and technology, particularly as Viet Nam has issued major policies such as Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, alongside Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg, which prioritizes the development and mastery of strategic technologies including AI, cybersecurity and semiconductors.
It is in this context that we establish FPT Israel—in the ‘Startup Nation’—to learn from its spirit of innovation, access advanced education, expand deep cooperation, and jointly develop and master core technologies for Viet Nam and the world.”
FPT has built a presence in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide, gradually affirming the position of Vietnamese technology enterprises on the global technology map. Recently, to underscore its determination to invest in and master core technologies, FPT announced investments in five strategic technology domains: Quantum AI, cybersecurity, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), data, and railway technologies. It is also the first private enterprise in Viet Nam to establish a Strategic Technology Steering Committee to promote the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich stated:
“The ‘Make in Viet Nam’ orientation for the 2026–2030 period emphasizes designing in Viet Nam and manufacturing in Viet Nam—to lead. ‘Leading’ here does not mean leading at all costs, but leading in areas where Viet Nam has advantages, practical demand, differentiation and the ability to create sustainable value.
A country seeking rapid and sustainable development in the digital era must have strong technology enterprises capable of mastering core technologies and platforms and competing internationally. FPT is among the pioneers that have opened international markets, and FPT Israel represents the next step, demonstrating determination to reach new technological heights.
The Ministry of Science and Technology encourages FPT Israel to place innovation at the core, promote R&D cooperation, expand markets through quality, credibility, compliance with international standards and technology ethics, and contribute technological and innovation value back to Viet Nam. The ministry, together with relevant agencies, will continue to refine mechanisms and policies to enable technology enterprises like FPT to elevate ‘Make in Viet Nam’ to a higher level.”

Within the framework of the event, FPT introduced a number of advanced Israeli technology partners, aiming to expand its high-tech solution ecosystem across key sectors, including education (Enabley), high-tech agriculture (CropX), cybersecurity (Cyabra and CyberproAI), quantum encryption (BATM Advanced Communications Ltd), quantum computing (Classiq), semiconductors (AsicSValue), and business expansion services (NAOR Group).
Israel is widely known as the “Startup Nation” and ranks among the world’s leading centers for technology and innovation. High technology accounts for a substantial share of the Israeli economy, and the country is ranked 14th out of 139 economies in the Global Innovation Index.
Viet Nam–Israel relations continue to be strengthened, marked recently by the issuance of Decision No. 16/QD-TTg dated January 5, 2026, approving the implementation plan for the Viet Nam–Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA). The plan aims to support Vietnamese enterprises in participating in production networks, value chains and supply chains involving Israeli companies, enhance incentives and mechanisms to connect Israeli-invested enterprises with domestic firms, and contribute to the formation and development of integrated supply chains.
This framework provides a strong foundation and momentum for expanded trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, including in the technology sector.
