FPT supports scientific conferences and consultation sessions in Quang Tri
On October 14, 2026, the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee organized a scientific conference and consultation sessions to strengthen the scientific foundations of the project “Digital Transformation and Development of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Quang Tri Province for 2026–2035, with a Vision to 2045.” The event was attended by Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, alongside representatives of central and local authorities, scientists, and leading experts.
The Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee organized a scientific conference and consultation sessions to strengthen the scientific foundations of the project “Digital Transformation and Development of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Quang Tri Province for 2026–2035, with a Vision to 2045.”
Supporting Quang Tri Province, FPT contributed by connecting scientific knowledge, technological capabilities, and practical experience to work with interdisciplinary experts in addressing major challenges in culture, sports, and tourism. The discussions also sought to clarify issues related to mechanisms, policies, and legal frameworks, laying the groundwork for a scientifically sound, feasible, and sustainable project.
A key highlight of the program was the gathering of experts from diverse fields, including history, heritage, culture, science and technology, economics, finance, intellectual property, and public administration. The participation of representatives from regulatory agencies, research institutes, universities, and scientific associations created a rare interdisciplinary consultation forum, where complex issues could be examined from multiple perspectives through discussion, critical review, and proposals for potential solutions.
The conference series brought together many distinguished scientists and experts, including Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang, People’s Teacher, Chairman of the Council for Science and Training at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Member of the National Council for Cultural Heritage; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Quang Tuấn, Senior Research Fellow and Vice President of the Vietnam Economic Science Association; Prof. Dr. Lieutenant General Tran Vi Dan, Member of the Central Theoretical Council; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Đức Cường, former President of the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences.
Ms. Le Ngoc Anh from FPT discusses the Group’s strategic directions for applying science and technology to heritage preservation, management, and value enhancement.
Representing FPT, Ms. Le Ngoc Anh, a Digital Transformation Expert, participated in the program as a co-chair, working alongside relevant authorities and experts to discuss directions for applying science and technology to heritage preservation, management, and value enhancement.
The conference focused on 11 specialized issues that were novel and highly complex, many of which had not yet been widely addressed in practice or directly governed by existing regulatory mechanisms. These issues were organized into two closely interconnected consultation sessions:
- Conference 1 – “Heritage Science, Cultural DNA Principles, and Heritage Encoding Standards” focused on the scientific foundations for identifying and encoding heritage values; principles for structuring a 35-cell criteria matrix; the CIDOC-CRM data standard; and technical requirements for digitization and authenticity in historical reconstruction. The session concluded with remarks by Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang, People’s Teacher, who provided guidance on incorporating feedback and refining the project’s scientific content.
- Conference 2 – “Economic Models, Digital Asset Commercialization, Intellectual Property, and Resource Mobilization” examined the conditions required for effective management and exploitation of digital assets. Topics included recognizing intangible data assets, measuring economic contributions, establishing licensing mechanisms for exploitation, determining rights over data used to train artificial intelligence, and mobilizing development resources. Discussions were facilitated by the co-chairs, with critical input from representatives of relevant agencies and professional organizations.
Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, shares the province’s digital transformation goals for culture, sports, and tourism.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Hoang Xuan Tan emphasized that digital transformation in culture, sports, and tourism is a long-term undertaking requiring coordinated efforts across development vision, scientific knowledge, technological capabilities, governance mechanisms, and community participation. The goal extends beyond digitizing heritage to preserving, disseminating, and promoting Quang Tri’s cultural and historical values, creating value for the community and future generations.
FPT supports the scientific conference and consultation series in Quang Tri.
For FPT, supporting the conference series goes beyond participating in a scientific forum. It reflects the company’s commitment to working alongside local authorities and experts to address complex challenges at their roots, from scientific foundations and technology standards to governance mechanisms and legal frameworks.
Following the conclusion of the program, the consultation feedback and critical assessments provided by scientists and experts will be consolidated, studied, and incorporated into the project’s further development. This marks an important step toward establishing a robust foundation for digital transformation, contributing to the preservation and promotion of heritage values while opening up new development opportunities for culture, sports, and tourism in Quang Tri Province.
