FPT introduces a comprehensive security model based on the 5-level ai maturity framework at Vietnam Security Summit 2026
Recently, at Vietnam Security Summit 2026 – Vietnam’s leading cybersecurity conference and exhibition under the theme “Securing the Digital Future in the Post-Quantum & AI World”, FPT showcased its “Made by FPT” cybersecurity ecosystem and shared practical perspectives on the challenge of data protection in the AI era. Through a comprehensive security model based on the 5-level AI maturity framework and the Data Trust Pipeline methodology, FPT continues to affirm its mastery of core technologies while accompanying government agencies, organizations, and enterprises in building secure and sustainable digital infrastructure.
FPT at Vietnam’s Largest Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition – Vietnam Security Summit 2026
The event was attended by Colonel Dr. Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security, and Major General Nguyen Tung Hung, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Warfare Command, Ministry of National Defense, together with more than 1,500 leaders, experts, and technology and cybersecurity managers from government agencies, financial institutions, and domestic and international enterprises.

As AI and quantum computing are fundamentally transforming how data is exploited, operated, and protected, ensuring cybersecurity, data security, and organizational operational continuity has become a strategic priority for many countries and enterprises. According to statistics, more than 552,000 cyberattacks were recorded in Vietnam in 2025, with 52.3% of organizations suffering damages. Meanwhile, the speed of vulnerability exploitation, AI-powered attack automation, and security threats in the post-quantum era are placing significant pressure on traditional defense models, requiring organizations to shift toward proactive security approaches capable of adapting in real time.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Dr. Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security, stated that cyberspace has now become an especially important strategic domain directly associated with national sovereignty, national security, and economic security. He emphasized:
“Along with the national digital transformation process, data is gradually becoming an especially important resource. Not only the data of agencies, organizations, and enterprises, but also citizens’ personal data is being digitized on an increasingly large scale. If data systems and information systems are not adequately protected, cybersecurity risks will directly impact economic security and social order and safety.”
Major General Nguyen Tung Hung, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Warfare Command, Ministry of National Defense, affirmed the importance of building data protection systems in the digital era
Sharing the same view, Major General Nguyen Tung Hung, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Warfare Command, Ministry of National Defense, stated that investing in cybersecurity today is investing in sustainable development for the future, and that cybersecurity protection is no longer an option but has become a mandatory requirement for both nations and enterprises in the digital era.
During the conference session on “Ensuring Data Security and Identity: Building Trust in the Digital Ecosystem,” Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, Director of Nextgen Technology Services Sector, FPT IS, FPT Corporation, delivered an in-depth presentation entitled “Data Security in the AI Era: Challenges and Solutions.”
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, Director of Nextgen Technology Services Sector, FPT IS, FPT Corporation, shared insights into the growing information security risks in an era where AI makes data “speak.”
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet emphasized that in the AI era, the data of every organization and enterprise has become “capable of speaking.” AI is transforming data from a supporting role into the “center of power” of every digital system. However, as data is continuously and deeply exploited by AI, the boundary between value and risk is becoming increasingly fragile. Today’s threats are no longer limited to data theft but have shifted toward training data manipulation, exploitation of AI model vulnerabilities, and large-scale automated attacks at speeds that increasingly surpass human response capabilities.
In particular, “Shadow AI” is becoming a major blind spot for many organizations when employees use public AI tools without appropriate control mechanisms. According to figures shared during the presentation, 45% of employees currently use AI regularly on company devices, 67% access AI using personal accounts outside the organization’s control, and 63% of enterprises have not yet established AI governance policies.
FPT experts shared that improper AI usage creates information security risks for enterprises
Based on research and implementation experience, FPT believes that the greatest challenge facing enterprises today does not simply come from hackers or attackers’ AI agents, but from the fact that AI is being widely used internally without adequate governance, control, and data monitoring mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle.
On that basis, FPT proposed the “Data Trust Pipeline” methodology, consisting of three layers of data protection: Ingress Provenance (controlling data before AI access), In-Use Guardrails (protective barriers during AI operations), and Egress Attestation (verification and accountability of AI outputs). The model aims to protect data throughout the entire AI lifecycle—from collection, processing, training, and operation to data sharing and auditing.
In addition, FPT introduced a comprehensive security model designed based on the 5-level AI maturity framework, helping enterprises identify their current level of AI adoption in order to build governance architectures and security frameworks appropriate to each stage of development. Corresponding to each AI maturity level, requirements for data security, AI governance, and Cyber Resilience become increasingly complex. Drawing from practical implementation experience, FPT proposes a comprehensive data security approach based on the “Security & Privacy-by-Design” principle: proactive access control for both users and AI agents, continuous monitoring, and leveraging AI itself as a defensive weapon to detect, predict, and respond at machine speed. FPT stands ready to accompany organizations and enterprises in mastering AI on a foundation of proactive data security, flexibly adapting to emerging risks in the AI and post-quantum era.
At the exhibition area, Vietnam Security Summit 2026 featured more than 40 booths from leading domestic and international technology companies, showcasing advanced cybersecurity technologies and solutions through demonstrations and real-world application displays.
Outstanding “Made by FPT” cybersecurity solutions currently accompanying numerous agencies and organizations were showcased at the event
Notably, FPT demonstrated its AI-powered Cyber Security ecosystem, featuring prominent solutions such as the FPT.EagleEye comprehensive security suite and the FPT.eID electronic identity solution, helping organizations enhance monitoring capabilities, prevent fraud, detect threats, and respond to incidents in real time. FPT is currently supporting numerous ministries, government agencies, financial institutions, and enterprises in protecting digital infrastructure, data, and information security operations through its AISOC system and more than 400 automated incident-response playbooks, helping achieve 0% data leaving the organization, 0% monitoring blind spots across IT systems, and an identity authentication system compliant with ISO 30107-3 Level 1 standards for maximum anti-spoofing protection.
Cybersecurity is one of the five strategic technologies in which FPT has announced major investments. Through strong investments in Cyber Security and its ecosystem of Made by FPT security solutions, the Corporation continues to affirm its mastery of core technologies while accompanying the Government and enterprises in building secure digital infrastructure, protecting data, and promoting sustainable development in the AI era.
