AlphaGroup and FPT IS pioneer to implement chip-based ID card verification solution for the notary field
Adopting FPT.IDCheck, a solution developed by FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS), will provide comprehensive support for AlphaGroup Technology Investment and Digital Convert Joint Stock Company (AlphaGroup) to prevent identity verification fraud, guaranteeing complete legal validity and simplifying procedures in transactions at notary offices.
FPT IS and AlphaGroup have recently signed a cooperation agreement regarding digitalization of notarization platform with a chip-based ID card verification solution (FPT.IDCheck) and SmartDoc software. Over nearly 10 years of operation, AlphaGroup has been a company that invests in foundational technologies for businesses with more than 100 partners and customers in various fields. Currently, AlphaGroup is providing a document editing and automatic digitalization software called SmartDoc to approximately 200 notary offices across the country.
Accordingly, AlphaGroup has joined forces with FPT IS to integrate FPT.IDCheck solution into SmartDoc software. With FPT.IDCheck and FPT.IDReader – a chip-based ID card reader – all customer information will be extracted quickly with absolute accuracy in just a few seconds. Meanwhile, information will be automatically filled in the corresponding fields on SmartDoc system, which offers operational optimization and minimizes data entry errors. Particularly, if problems such as chip-based ID card tampering or damage are detected, the system can automatically alert the user.

Since information crime has been increasing recently, notary offices are facing the risk of “wrong notarization”. This causes great damage to notary offices and exposes them to multiple legal risks. Seeking a solution for such situation, geared towards optimizing the verification of customer identity and information and preventing legal risks during the extraction of information from chip-based ID card, AlphaGroup has determined to integrate FPT.IDCheck with its SmartDoc software to serve more than 200 notary offices and corporate customers.
Mr. Le Thanh Nhuan – CEO of AlphaGroup – affirms that the deployment of technologies and digitalization of the authentication process at notary offices are the priorities of the company: “We are proud to enter into cooperation with FPT IS – the leading technology firm in Vietnam – to deploy and integrate FPT.IDCheck, the anti-fraud solution for digital identity verification (FPT.IDCheck), with SmartDoc. With SmartDoc software as the existing technical foundation, AlphaGroup expects that integrating FPT.IDCheck will create an important “impulse” to help customers of the company upgrade the standards of information authentication, customer identification, as well as optimize notarization services. Legal risks will be prevented since data on the ID card will be verified by the Ministry of Public Security, delivering accurate and transparent results to organizations, individuals, state agencies, and other relevant parties. Besides, integrating a chip-based ID card scanning device with SmartDoc software will also shorten the time to handle administrative procedures, reduce costs in the storage and archive of records, eliminate data entry errors, thereby increasing efficiency and accelerating the national digital transformation process”.

FPT.IDCheck has emerged after the Prime Minister signed and issued Decision No. 06/QD-TTg approving the Project for “Application of population data, e-identification and e-authentication to the national digital transformation in 2022 – 2025 period, with a vision by 2030” (Project 06/CP). Currently, FPT IS is one of the few providers in Vietnam that fully meets technical and security standards and is duly licensed by the Ministry of Public Security to provide chip-based ID card verification services. In September 2022, FPT IS has signed a cooperation agreement with the Research and Application Center for Residents Data (RAR), National Population Data Center (C06, Ministry of Public Security) to deploy the FPT.IDCheck solution widely across the country.
FPT.IDCheck, a solution for chip-based ID card data verification and face recognition with 100% accuracy, together with FPT.IDReader, a chip-based ID card reader, is seen as a solution with outstanding development potential which addresses the increasing demands for identity verification in many fields, including: Banking – Finance, Insurance, E-commerce, Real Estate…, as well as those of businesses and organizations that are in need of identity verification such as schools, notary offices, hospitals…
