Bac Giang and FPT partner to shape the future of semiconductor and digital innovation in Vietnam
On April 12, Bac Giang provincial delegation, headed by Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh, visited and worked at FPT Da Nang, including FPT University, FPT Software HQ, Hy Vong School, and FPT’s High-Tech and Semiconductor Chip R&D Center. The visit opened up significant cooperation opportunities between FPT Corporation and Bac Giang Province in promoting digital transformation and fostering high-quality education, with an ambitious outlook toward developing a semiconductor urban area as proposed by the provincial leaders.

The delegation toured the comprehensive ecosystem operated by FPT in Da Nang, covering key sectors such as technology, telecommunications, and education. These are critical foundations contributing to the creation of a modern technology urban area where infrastructure is developed synchronously with technology, creating an intelligent, convenient, and sustainable living and working environment. During the working session, leaders of relevant departments and sectors also engaged in discussions with FPT to promote cooperation and clarify the province’s key objectives in digital transformation and high-quality education training.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang Province Nguyen Viet Oanh expressed his impression of the comprehensive ecosystem that FPT is implementing in Da Nang, where technology, human resources, and infrastructure are invested in synchronously. He praised the Group’s strategy and affirmed that Bac Giang would facilitate and be ready to accompany FPT in realizing the cooperation plans in the near future.

Later that day, the Bac Giang delegation also visited FPT’s R&D Center for high-tech and semiconductor technologies, located at Software Park No. 2, Da Nang City. Here, FPT leaders presented an overview of the development of Made by FPT products and services, with many strategic technology solutions in digital government, healthcare, education, and smart cities – all key areas supporting comprehensive digital transformation. The R&D Center of FPT plays a crucial role in driving innovation and creating a connected ecosystem for the startup community, gathering top experts to jointly research and develop technological products.
