Dat Bike cooperates with FPT IS to standardize management with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Recently, Dat Bike Vietnam and FPT IS officially launched a business management project applying SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution. The project aims to help Dat Bike improve its management, accelerate growth, achieving the goal of “greening” transportation and becoming one of the leading electric motorbike manufacturers in Southeast Asia.

This is considered a pioneering project on business management applying SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition in electric motorcycle manufacturing and trading deployed by FPT IS in Vietnam.

Established in 2019, Dat Bike is an electric motorbike manufacturer geared towards shifting the motorcycle market from gasoline to electric. The company sets its ambition to become the leading Vietnamese electric motorbike manufacturer in the region, with the desire to “green” the two-wheeled vehicle market worth USD 8 billion in Vietnam and USD 25 billion in the Southeast Asia. After launching the Quantum scooter product line at the end of 2023, Dat Bike recorded a 10-fold increase in its monthly sales. The two-wheeled electric vehicle industry in Vietnam, on the other hand, is growing steadily at a rate of over 30% each year. With such rapid growth, Dat Bike needs a good business management technology platform to meet business needs and expand the market.

Armed with a strategic vision on business and technology, and advice from its partner, FPT IS, Dat Bike’s Board of Directors chose to use SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution, a global standard management platform. This marked an impressive “transformation” milestone, enabling the motorcycle company to maintain its modest workforce scale while ensuring operational performance and effective management.

According to the agreement between the two companies, FPT IS will deploy SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution for Dat Bike with the following modules: Sales, Sourcing and Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Integration to eInvoice System, and Quality Management.

Using SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud allows Dat Bike to update reports in real time, and perform financial reporting according to Vietnamese and international accounting standards to attract domestic and foreign partners. This is a crucial foundation for the motorbike manufacturer’s rapid, synchronous, and sustainable development.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Nam Trung, Chief Financial Officer at Dat Bike, expressed: “Dat Bike is on a fast track with goals for production development and market expansion. Deploying the SAP S/4HANA system based on the Public Cloud model is a new method for enterprises in Vietnam.
