FPT and Vinphaco deploy ERP to advance toward Pharma 4.0 goals
Vĩnh Yên, Vietnam — FPT and Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Vinphaco) have officially launched Phase II of their SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management Project, marking a significant milestone in Vinphaco’s journey to become a Pharma 4.0 enterprise. The project, initiated in April 2024, continues to build on the success of the digital transformation efforts achieved in Phase I.
The kickoff ceremony, held at Vinphaco’s headquarters in Vĩnh Yên, was attended by the full Vinphaco project team and representatives from strategic partner FPT
Following the successful implementation of Phase I—with core modules going live on November 4—the SAP S/4HANA system at Vinphaco has been operating smoothly, enhancing management efficiency and streamlining internal processes. To further standardize and optimize enterprise management, Vinphaco and FPT have now initiated Phase II of the project.
Phase II focuses on two critical modules: Plant Maintenance (PM): Managing maintenance and servicing of factory equipment and Warehouse Management (WM): Enabling detailed warehouse operations integrated with a barcode system. These modules play a vital role in increasing operational efficiency, ensuring system-wide synchronization, and improving control over maintenance and warehouse logistics activities.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Do Van Doanh, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Vinphaco, emphasized: “Phase II represents an important step forward in helping Vinphaco standardize and strengthen its management of machinery, optimize warehouse operations, and improve service quality for customers. This phase also lays a solid foundation for sustainable development in the future.”

Mr. Dang Truong Thach, Executive Vice President of FPT IS, affirmed FPT’s continued commitment: “We remain dedicated to supporting Vinphaco, not only in maximizing the value of its current system but also in the focused execution of this second phase. Though this phase comprises just two modules, they are core to Vinphaco’s operations—particularly the warehouse and barcode systems, which demand high precision and systemization.”
