Information at the third nationwide online conference on digital transformation and the summary of two years of digitizing records and documents in the People’s Public Security Forces on October 10th showed that the Ministry of Public Security has issued 87.7 million electronic chip-embedded ID cards to citizens. However, the increasing popularity and convenience of chip-embedded ID cards has also made them a target for identity theft for illegal purposes.

Aiming to address the risks in transactions using chip-embedded ID cards and contributing to the effective implementation of Project 06 by agencies, organizations, and businesses, FPT IS Company Limited has researched and developed the FPT.IDCheck anti-fraud solution for digital verification. The main functions of FPT.IDCheck are: automatically extracting accurate and complete information from the Citizen ID card using OCR technology (optical character recognition); automatically extracting and verifying information from the Citizen ID card chip using NFC, ensuring 100% accurate identification; and face authentication using face matching technology and Liveness Detection.
