FPT introduces capabilities and digital ecosystem to the community of CIOs in Malaysia

On the evening of April 14, the “1st Annual CIO Get-Together” was successfully co-hosted by FPT in Malaysia. The event focused on introducing FPT Corporation and its diverse technology product ecosystem to a community of leading Chief Information Officers (CIOs). The gathering was honored to welcome over 20 CIOs from Malaysian enterprises, creating an ideal space for networking, sharing visions, and exploring potential collaboration opportunities.

Kicking off the event, Mr. Hong Kok Cheong – Regional Sales Director of the Enterprise Division at FPT IS, FPT Corporation – delivered an overview of FPT, Vietnam’s leading technology corporation with over 35 years of experience, presence in 30 countries, and a strong portfolio of comprehensive IT solutions and services. In addition, FPT’s rich product ecosystem was introduced, featuring solutions in various areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and more. The goal was to provide a holistic view of the technological capabilities and innovations FPT can bring to organizations in Malaysia.

With a spirit of companionship and deep understanding of the local market, Mr. Bui Dinh Giap – Operation Director of New Business Sector at FPT IS, FPT Corporation – delivered a keynote titled “Prompt Counter-Tactics for Malaysian Enterprises in Uncertainty”.

His presentation focused on analyzing the major threats currently facing the global economy – from the impacts of trade policies and tariffs to recession risks, rising inflationary pressures, and supply chain disruptions – all of which directly affect operational efficiency and business costs. In light of these pressing challenges, Mr. Giap shared three core strategies FPT has developed to help Malaysian enterprises enhance their adaptability: reducing operational costs, leveraging Agentic AI for automation, and migrating to flexible technology platforms.

To realize these strategies, FPT’s ecosystem of “Made by FPT” solutions serves as a comprehensive technology foundation, enabling Malaysian businesses to accelerate digital transformation, reduce costs, and maintain operational agility in this era of rapid change. This was illustrated by tangible successes FPT solutions have already achieved in Malaysia. For example, retail chain Mr.DIY, with over 1,100 stores nationwide, has adopted akaBot to digitize its accounting and logistics processes, significantly reducing the time needed to handle thousands of invoices daily while improving accuracy and control. Meanwhile, Pastry Pro, one of Malaysia’s largest suppliers of baking ingredients and equipment, reported up to 80% time savings in order and invoice processing thanks to automation in internal operations.

These real-world examples not only highlight the operational problem-solving capabilities of “Made by FPT” products but also affirm their readiness, flexibility, and effectiveness for international markets.

Many attendees shared that the event gave them a clearer and more comprehensive view of FPT’s technological capabilities and its broad solution ecosystem, indicating a significant opportunity for FPT to expand brand awareness and tap into growth potential in the Malaysian market. Furthermore, participants expressed particular interest in practical AI applications, with a desire to further explore FPT’s AI solutions to assess how they align with their organizations’ digital transformation strategies.

The “1st Annual CIO Get-Together” in Malaysia concluded successfully, laying a solid foundation for FPT to expand its presence and build relationships with the CIO community in this promising market. Regular future engagements are expected to play a crucial role in realizing the collaboration opportunities sparked during this event, while also helping FPT better understand local needs and fine-tune its market approach effectively.
