FPT IS – PVCFC dialog: Escalate the power of AI to create new business opportunities
On the morning of January 23, FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and Petro Viet Nam Ca Mau Fertilizer JSC (PVCFC) held a high-level dialogue between leadership of the two sides on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business operations, creating new business opportunities in the future.
The dialog welcomed the presence of Mr. Tran Ngoc Nguyen – Chairman of Board of Directors and more than 40 managers from PVCFC. On FPT IS’s side were Mr. Tran Duc Tri Quang – Chief Data Officer and other senior technology experts.
To commence the dialogue, Mr. Tran Ngoc Nguyen shared the PVCFC’s development goals and vision in pioneering green transformation to maintain its leading position in the fertilizer industry and make extensive contributions to the process of modernizing agriculture in our home country. He set expectations in applying AI to administration, operations, production and business activities, based on the ERP platform previously deployed by FPT IS.
Further emphasizing the demand to apply AI in administration, Mr. Vo Chanh Ngu – Director of PVCFC Information System commented: “In 2023, PVCFC had an impressive growth rate, overcoming many difficulties and challenges due to market fluctuations. Accordingly, from a system management perspective, with more and more data being accumulated, we expect to be able to leverage new technology such as AI to optimize administration activities.”
The dialogue between the two companies was held in an online format.
Understanding the problem being addressed by PVCFC’s leadership, Mr. Tran Duc Tri Quang – FPT IS Chief Data Officer, provided in-depth analysis of technology such as LLMs, LIM applications, and how businesses can apply Explainable AI and other practices in the market.
Mr. Quang also gave an overview of how Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Transformer models work. The AI architecture of Deep Learning algorithm simulates how neurons connect to each other, thereby explaining how AI models recognize images, how Transformer models translate long paragraphs, and generate exchange content.
Diving deeper into building specific applications for fertilizer manufacturing businesses, FPT IS and PVCFC discussed practices throughout the operation, from production planning, to material procurement, factory operations, transportation, sales and after-sales. The two sides focused the discussion on establishing Business KPIs to accurately evaluate the effectiveness of model application in practice.
Through this high-level dialogue, PVCFC expects to be able to expand more cooperation opportunities with FPT IS, and achieve results from the digital transformation program between the two sides.
With the aim of focusing on researching and developing solution products based on Data, AI, etc., FPT IS Chief Data Officer expressed the hope to accompany PVCFC in accelerating the application of AI in particular and new technology in general, promoting comprehensively effective digital transformation and green transformation.
