FPT welcomes delegation from Greater Bay Area to Foster technology collaboration and connectivity
FPT recently welcomed a delegation of business leaders and investors from the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area as part of a strategic networking event to explore collaboration opportunities in Vietnam. The meeting gathered over 60 senior leaders from both sides who exchanged insights, shared visions, and expressed a strong commitment toward deepening connections between top technology enterprises in Vietnam and China.
Delegation visits FPT Tower
Before the official working session, the delegation visited FPT Tower – the headquarters of FPT in Hanoi. During the tour, FPT representatives highlighted key milestones in the company’s journey of innovation, global market expansion, and its established leadership in Vietnam’s information technology sector.
Overview of the working session
At the opening of the working session, Mr. Yuan Fuyong – Member of the Party Working Committee of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone and Deputy Director of Qianhai Authority – praised the technology ecosystem that FPT is building. He stated: “If Shenzhen is considered the ‘Silicon Valley of China,’ Qianhai is the gateway to global connectivity – a hub for key sectors such as finance, logistics, information technology, artificial intelligence, and high-end services. With open policies, a modern legal framework, and strong support from the central government, Qianhai is rising as a strategic destination for global tech enterprises.”
Mr. Yuan Fuyong Speaks at the working session
Mr. Yuan Fuyong stated that this visit to FPT aimed to create favorable conditions for Chinese technology enterprises to gain deeper insights into FPT’s operations, strategic vision, and technological capacity. It also served as an opportunity to explore potential cooperation and investment prospects in the Qianhai area.
Representing FPT, Chairman FPT IS – Mr. Tran Dang Hoa shared perspectives on Vietnam’s current development landscape and expressed hopes for stronger collaboration between Vietnam and China. “Vietnam is entering a special phase, requiring critical reform to streamline governance and enhance efficiency, key to realizing its national development strategy,” he remarked.
This was also a milestone for FPT to reaffirm its role in accelerating innovation in science and technology. “As a leading technology enterprise in Vietnam, FPT is committed to driving digital transformation and innovation,” Mr. Tran Dang Hoa emphasized. He noted that the company is ready to collaborate with Chinese partners in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and innovative living technologies.
Representing the Chinese business delegation, Mr. Jackson Choi – Board Member of Sunwah Group (Hong Kong) and General Director of Sunwah Group in East China – emphasized the significance of longstanding and effective partnerships with Vietnamese firms. “With 68 years of development and 55 years of investment in Vietnam, we have always valued building effective and sustainable relationships with Vietnamese partners, especially with leaders like FPT,” he stated.
Mr. Choi expressed his belief that this working session would lay the foundation for deeper bilateral cooperation between Sunwah Group and FPT, particularly in information technology. On this occasion, he also extended a formal invitation to FPT’s leadership to visit Sunwah’s headquarters in Hong Kong to conduct a field study and explore further strategic partnership opportunities.
As part of the session, Ms. Tran Thi (Lily) – Greater China Director at FPT IS, FPT Corporation – shared the company’s 35-year journey from a pioneering IT enterprise to a comprehensive technology group. She highlighted FPT’s innovation-driven strategy across key sectors such as IT, education, digital transformation, and AI. Her presentation helped the Chinese delegates gain deeper insight into FPT’s capabilities, vision, and influence across the region.

At the end of the session, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa expressed his confidence that with the firm foundation of friendship between the two countries and a spirit of goodwill and openness, FPT and its Chinese partners will continue to grow together and contribute positively to the region’s shared prosperity.
This visit once again reaffirmed FPT’s position in the eyes of international partners and opened new doors for cross-border technological collaboration.
