Siba Food and FPT IS successfully implement an international standard system for food retail operations and sales
Recently, Siba Food Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Siba Food) and FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) have officially put SAP S/4HANA system into operation. This is a pioneering project in food processing, cutting and retail industries, tackling specific operational problems for food retail businesses like Siba Food.
The Rise with SAP S/4HANA solution operated by FPT IS for Siba Food includes: Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Project System (PS), Quality Management (QM), Customer Activity Repository (SAP CAR). The solution integrates with various systems such as retail points of sale (POS), SHB’s eBanking, electronic invoice FPT.eInvoice and SAP Fiori platform, enabling convenient and easy use at Siba Food stores.
The software provides a tailored approach for the retail chain with meat processing and cutting operations included. Developed on the integrated SAP Fiori platform, it connects every store of the company nationwide, meeting the needs for system streamlining at points of sale while enabling back office staff to work on effectively organized data hassle-free.
The solution allows Siba Food to calculate the actual cost for pork wholesale cut purchase and pork cutting/retail at stores. It also empowers the company to perform warehouse transactions, reconcile and control inventory data, and produce accurate inventory results, saving its accounting department up to 10 days of reconciliation work. SAP S/4HANA is integrated with in-store cash register systems, electronic invoices and eBanking, bringing 4.0 digital value chain to daily transaction operations in stores and back offices, connecting every Siba food store across the country.
The SAP S/4HANA system helps optimize data entry, data reconciliation, and goods control processes.
The project is deployed and operated simultaneously for Siba Food’s retail chain of nearly 100 food stores and meat shops in Vietnam. It allows Siba Food to perform real-time, centralized management on a single platform, optimizing information resources for quick analysis and decision-making.

Siba Food is expanding its retail chain, which consists of healthy food stores, Siba Food, and residue-free pork shops, BaF Meat, a reputable brand for grass-fed pork. BaF Meat provides 100% plant, herb and probiotic-fed pork that don’t contain any antibiotic residues, growth hormones, etc. All other food sources are committed to strict traceability control by Siba Food to ensure freshness and consumer health.
In addition to its fresh food chain stores, in 2023, Siba Food joined the F&B industry with Grass-fed Pork Intestines restaurant, specializing in pork intestines with its signature dish Xao Long Banh Muot (pork intestine soup served with steamed rice pancakes). Clean and fresh ingredients are carefully selected on a daily basis from BaF Vietnam’s biosecurity pig farms.
