Vietnam Information Security Day 2021: FPT IS confidently accompanies enterprises to ensure information security in digital age
On November 25, Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) has organized the international conference – exhibition “Vietnam Information Security Day” with the theme of “Information Security in Digital Transformation – Challenges and Solutions”. The event has been attended by more than 2,000 guests via online channels and the main venue in Hanoi. FPT Information System Co., Lt. (FPT IS) is honored to be the Gold sponsor for the event.
Delivering the opening speech at the event, Minister of Information and Communications Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung affirms: “To ensure security, it is necessary to be aware of insecurity. The best way to do so is to promote the use of digital technologies. Fear and hesitation of using digital technologies are indications of lagging behind, safety can only be ensured if we are ready to take risks. There is no zero risk, we can only manage risks at acceptable levels.
In the real world, every house has locks and doors. Similarly in the digital world, every person’s device and data store must also have the same things. This requires close coordination between information security enterprises, information security associations as well as communication agencies and organizations. Digital transformation opportunities are only moment-to-moment, and will quickly pass if we fail to seize them. Cybersecurity is a prerequisite for successful digital transformation, and we need to join hands to ensure a safe and healthy cyberspace for Vietnam”.

Based on the orientations of the state leaders and the goals of the event, during the day, the speakers and guests have together discussed the important role of information security and the method to ensure information security in digital transformation as well as in the current COVID-19 period.

Facing such situation, the security experts of FPT IS have constantly conducted researches and brought to the market the best security solutions and services specialized for defense, attack, or advising services, in order to protect users and minimize consequences of the attacks. For Advising service, FPT IS is proud to be the first Vietnamese company to be issued PCI QSA certification by PCI SSC, allowing FPT IS to advise, assess and grant Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification.
