Violympic program for the school year 2022 – 2023: more than 21,000 students are honored and awarded prizes nationwide
On May 26, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the ceremony to honor and award prizes of the Violympic program for the 2022-2023 school year has taken place in a solemn and cozy atmosphere. In the 16th year of the program, the playground has been registered by approximately 3,000,000 students nationwide, with 21,200 students honored and awarded prizes in 04 subjects.
Attending the ceremony are leaders of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, the Advisory board, leaders of FPT Corporation, partners, media, and 1,500 delegates who are excellent students winning national final prizes in the 2022-2023 school year and from provinces/cities in Northern region, as well as their teachers and parents.
The Violympic award ceremony for the 2022-2023 school year takes place on the morning of May 26 in Hanoi.
A familiar place for millions of Vietnamese students
At the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, approved by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training regarding the “Violympic playground project for high school students”, the Violympic program, with the support and coordination of the Departments of Education and Training of provinces/cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Phu Tho, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Dak Nong…, has been registered by a large number of students on the basis of voluntary and enthusiastic spirit.
In its 16th year, the Violympic playground adds a subject of Vietnamese language to the competition for primary school students and six more grades in the national round. For the national final round alone, the number of students registering for the competition is 103,201, an increase of 60% compared to the previous school year, and is also the highest number of students of the Violympic playground since its launch.
The Violympic organizing committee expresses gratitude to the outstanding exam councils who have accompanied the playground for consecutive years.
This school year also marks a record number of students, i.e, 21,200 students, winning prizes in 4 subjects (three times more than the 2021-2022 school year). Specifically, 1,640 students win the Gold medals, 2,680 students win the Silver medals, 4,280 students win the Bronze medals, and 12,600 students win the Encouragement prizes.
16 years of “giving wings” for students across the country

According to a survey on 3,000 students who have won the National Violympic Gold prizes in the past 3 school years, 84% of the students have won at least one more prize in the province/city-level excellent student competition or higher in Math and Physics, while 21.5% of the students have won prizes in international Math competitions such as IKMC, IMO, SASMO, or are valedictorians, grade-skippers, super-intelligent…
This shows that Violympic is not only a place to help students apply information technologies and the Internet to consolidate and enhance their knowledge, but also a driving force giving them more confidence when they compete in big arenas.

Violympic starts as a pioneering playground on the Internet to help students change their learning methods and help schools apply information technologies. Up to now, technologies or the Internet are no longer Violympic’s sole advantages. What makes the playground maintain and keep attracting an average of 3,000,000 – 5,000,000 students participating in the program over the years lies in the quality of the exam contents, as well as the effectiveness in inspiring students to conquer higher goals in their academic journey.
Following the playground closely from the very first days, on behalf of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Pham Duc Tai – Secondary Education Department – says: “The community spirit of Violympic is reflected by not only the approach and connection of students from all regions, but also the continuity. Over the past 16 years, generations of students honored today have become the source of inspiration, igniting the passion for learning and research of future generations. Such influence combined with the power of technologies help us go fast and far together”.

According to the organizing committee, Violympic has been constantly making efforts to invest in and improve both in terms of technologies and exam contents over the years. In the 2022-2023 school year, Violympic have added a subject of Vietnamese language and practice features while the security and transparency in organizing and supervising the competition rounds have also been enhanced. In the next school year, the playground will add a new subject, focus on building exam questions in accordance with the direction of capacity assessment set out by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, helping teachers to refer to and students to access the most effective methods of thinking, reasoning and problem solving.
Violympic is a national-level competition in Math and Physics on the Internet organized by FPT Corporation. The competition is for students from grades 1 to 12 nationwide. Find out more about Violympic at www.violympic.vn.
