FPT showcases semiconductor products at the Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, term 2025-2030
On the afternoon of August 16, 2025, in Hanoi, the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology term officially convened, with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, along with senior leaders from central ministries, party bodies, and government agencies.

Speaking at the Congress, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that in the upcoming term, the orientation of science and technology will focus on mastering strategic technologies and products, while promoting innovation to ensure science and technology are closely linked with practice and address the nation’s urgent challenges. The Ministry has set a target that by 2030, Vietnam will master at least 70% of strategic technologies, thereby strengthening technological autonomy and enhancing national competitiveness.
FPT showcased its solutions at the Science and Technology Products Exhibition Area
As part of the Science and Technology Products Exhibition at the Congress, FPT showcased its latest portfolio of locally designed semiconductor products, with up to 80% of their value created in Vietnam. Highlighted solutions included:
- Smart Home applications: chips for LED circuit boards and security cameras.
- Mobile devices: chips for battery management boards, FAS 02 & FAS 06 access control devices, and fast-charging/PD chargers.
- Healthcare technology: chips powering the circuit boards of the iThermo smart thermometer.
‘Made by FPT’ chip products
With the launch of its “Make in Vietnam, Made by FPT” semiconductor products, FPT affirms its pioneering role in integrated circuit design, directly contributing to Vietnam’s goal of strengthening technological self-reliance. The semiconductor solutions developed by FPT not only address domestic demand but are also geared towards global markets, helping Vietnam gradually integrate deeper into the international semiconductor value chain—aligned with the nation’s strategic orientation for science, technology, and innovation in the new era.
