FPT partners with the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam to donate electronic archive solution to 15 Northern provinces
On September 18 in Hanoi, as part of a series of conferences addressing challenges in records and archives management for two-tier local government operations and the deployment of digital document management software, FPT Corporation partnered with the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam to donate electronic archive and document digitization software to 15 provinces in the Northern region.
The conference series, held across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions from September 18–26, highlighted FPT’s commitment to supporting the digital transformation of the records and archives sector. This initiative contributes to the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW, advancing Vietnam’s archival system toward comprehensive digitalization.
Mr. Dang Thanh Tung, Director of the State Records and Archives Department, shared that the Department will coordinate with technology partners to transition all traditional archives to digital storage
Opening the Northern region conference, Mr. Dang Thanh Tung, Director of the State Records and Archives Department, emphasized: “The records and archives sector has traditionally relied on paper documents and physical artifacts. However, in the context of the Party and Government’s strong push to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW, digital transformation and technology adoption are mandatory – there is no alternative. This presents both an unprecedented opportunity and a significant challenge, requiring the entire sector to act faster and more decisively, coordinating with technology partners to convert all traditional archives into digital formats and build a modern shared data platform to support national development. According to the roadmap, Vietnam’s archival sector is entering Phase II of digital transformation, aiming to digitize 30% of processed documents by 2026, laying the foundation to achieve 100% by the end of the year.”
The conference provided an opportunity for local authorities and state management agencies in records and archives to exchange insights, review overall document management under the two-tier government system, and discuss digitization strategies to ensure smooth operations of the administrative apparatus.

FPT donates iSOMA document digitization software to representatives of 15 Northern provinces
In parallel, FPT also donated the iSOMA document digitization software to local archival agencies. The solution has been validated to meet the digitization standards outlined in Circular 05/2025/TT-BNV, enabling scanning, optical character recognition (OCR), cleaning, verification, and packaging of paper documents into complete digital data. The processed digital documents are directly integrated into the National Digital Archive Platform, saving time, improving accuracy, and ensuring information security.
The iSOMA document digitization software has been deployed in numerous large-scale, highly complex projects
iSOMA has been deployed in major projects such as the digitization of Han-Nom wooden blocks and administrative records, demonstrating its outstanding effectiveness in reducing manual workload, improving management efficiency, and enhancing transparency.
