The National Data Center achieves TIA-942-C Rated 4 Design Certificate
Recently, the National Data Center officially obtained the TIA-942-C Rated 4 certification for its design phase – the highest global standard for data center reliability and safety. The National Data Center project is being designed with consultancy support from FPT and its partners. Together with the previously awarded Uptime Tier IV certification, this latest recognition reinforces the National Data Center’s commitment to meeting stringent, world-class quality standards right from the initial design stage.
Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center, receives the TIA-942-C Rated 4 Certificate
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center, emphasized that this milestone affirms the Center’s design has fully met the international TIA-942 standard. This achievement lays a solid foundation for the deployment, operation, and management of national data infrastructure in accordance with global benchmarks for reliability, safety, and security.
Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, also noted that under the close guidance of the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership and with the determination, unity, and creativity of all officers and staff, the National Data Center is poised to become a symbol of Vietnam’s technological capability: a regionally significant, world-class data center that meets international standards in both design and operations.
The TIA-942-C Rated 4 certificate is not only a prestigious global accreditation but also a testament to the Center’s capability, vision, and unwavering commitment to building a modern, secure digital infrastructure that supports the nation’s sustainable development in the digital era. This is also the first data center in Vietnam to achieve the Rated 4 design certificate.
Leadership of the National Data Center and project partners at the ceremony
Earlier, the National Data Center also obtained the Uptime Tier IV certificate for its design phase, affirming that its technical design documentation meets the strictest criteria for reliability, availability, and fault-tolerant resilience required of a Tier IV data center.
FPT is honored to accompany the National Data Center, together with its partners, throughout the design consultancy process. The project underwent a rigorous international evaluation, during which every design detail had to meet demanding requirements for full fault tolerance, continuous availability, and maximum redundancy to ensure uninterrupted operation under any circumstances.
Securing these certifications at the design stage not only demonstrates the project’s technical rigor and methodical execution but also reflects the strong commitment of all parties involved to realizing a data center built to the highest operational standards.
