eMarket – An e-commerce platform to create happiness for people of Yen Bai province

Integrated on Yen Bai digital citizen application (YenBai-S), Cho So (eMarket) – a product developed by FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) – is expected to contribute to realizing the goal of “Aiming towards the satisfaction and happiness of the people” by leaders of Yen Bai province.

In February 2023, Yen Bai province has officially launched a technical and information supply system on YenBai-S, with the pilot implementation in Yen Bai city scheduled from March 1, 2023. YenBai-S is an application deployed on smart devices that allows people to directly interact with state agencies in Yen Bai province and use smart urban and public services, contributing to successful building digital government, digital citizen and digital society of Yen Bai province with the goal of “YenBai-S: Towards the satisfaction and happiness of the people”.

As part of the functional group servicing the people integrated on YenBai-S, eMarket – a smart, innovative and distinguished e-commerce platform developed by FPT IS – has delivered numerous advantages, contributing to improving the quality of life, business experience, as well as management experience for the people, enterprises, and local government of the province. Implemented across Yen Bai, eMarket has recorded more than 2,000 registered accounts after just one week it is launched for training for Provincial People’s Committee officials and employees.

To use eMarket, users need to go to Google Play or App Store on their smartphones, and enter “YenBai-S” into the search bar. After downloading the YenBai-S application, users can find the eMarket at the homepage of the app.

The eMarket application on YenBai-S allows people in an area to discover all products, services and tourist attractions quickly and easily right on their smartphones, boosting business households’ and enterprises’ sales with a chain of diverse and new utilities.

For the people, the eMarket provides an easy way to search and buy products and necessities. User simply enters the product he/she wants to buy into the search bar, the system will locate the user’s location and suggest the nearest stores. After choosing the desired product, the user can proceed to placing an order and choose to pay by wire transfer or cash.

People can easily search and buy necessities on the eMarket.

For business households and enterprises, eMarket provides an effective utility to support and enhance business performance. The entire business process from sales, promotion, payment, delivery, to point accumulation, ratings, reviews… is integrated on a single platform.

With eMarket, all levels of local government are able to verify information of enterprises, business households and consumers in the province in an easy way. Thereby, the management performance has been improved with increased accuracy and reduced time to handle violations, giving people a secure, trusted, convenient e-commerce platform, contributing to the promotion of economic development and tourism.

For the next phase of the project, apart from accurate and transparent authentication and management of information of buyers, sellers, and products, eMarket’s integration with digital transformation solutions is also expected, such as: electronic contract signing solution, electronic customer identification, remote signature, electronic invoice… to assist the digitalization of business activities and promote the digital economy in the province.
