FPT joins hands with the Ministry of Public Security to bring data into life through the Digital Data For Life contest
On November 6, the preliminary round of the 2023 Digital Data For Life, a tech solution contest, takes place at Hanoi University of Science and Technology with FPT as an organizing partner and tech examiner.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet – Chief Technology Officer, FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) – is a member of Examiner Council 1 together with representatives from the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, the VINASA Science and Technology Institute, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, as well as data application tech firms.
The contestants, including state agencies, businesses, and student groups have delivered 41 submissions covering many areas of life, such as population, transportation, security, healthcare… The products and solutions submitted for the contest use the national data sources and adopt new technologies such as Big Data, AI, Machine Learning, IoT…, aiming to effectively solve practical problems.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet says: “The contest is held in 2023 – the year of national digital data, implying great social significance. The contest also demonstrates the determination of realizing the creation and exploitation of digital data to generate values. It is seen that many new technologies have been adopted for the products submitted for the contest and the way data is exploited is efficient. Many products impose great potential for further development, high practical applicability, and deliver both social and humane values, such as: an AI-based application that detects fraud and prevents cyber attacks; epidemic forecasting application; labor exchange application; an application that prevents infant kidnapping and commercial surrogacy using identification data…”
With the goal of creating happiness from data, FPT has been accompanying the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security in the process of developing and applying utility models under Project 06. More than 30 solutions and models by FPT have been deployed, focusing on administrative procedure digitalization, digital citizenship, digital economy development, data digitalization for state administration and direction, delivering convenience and flexibility for people and businesses, saving costs and time, and contributing to preventing fraud and crimes.
FPT is always ready to join hands with the Government and provinces/cities to deploy utility models under Project 06, contributing to accelerating the digital transformation process in Vietnam, creating an immediate state administration and direction model based on data, delivering happiness to people and businesses.

The Digital Data For Life contest is organized by the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order – Vietnam Ministry of Public Security, to call for young talents to accompany the Ministry of Public Security and the Government to develop practical tech initiatives and products that should revolve around three major pillars, i.e, Digital government – promoting effective public services, Digital society – promoting social security services, Digital economy – promoting economic development. The contest involves three rounds, specifically preliminary round (41 teams), pre-final round (selecting Top 10), and final round (selecting Top 5). The final round is scheduled to take place from November 23 – 24.
