FPT Smart Kiosk co-creates digital transformation with provinces/cities
To partner with provinces/cities in creating digital transformation and building smart cities following the Vietnamese Government’s Project 06, FPT IS has developed the software and equipment set, FPT Smart Kiosk. The product aims to digitize administrative processes and procedures at Public Administration Centers in provinces and cities, bringing new digital experiences to people.
FPT Smart Kiosk is currently being deployed at public administrative centers in various localities such as Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, and others, and initially receiving positive feedback from people and local authorities.

FPT Smart Kiosk is the solution categorized under Model 02 (Automation of Public Administration Centers through Kiosk interaction), one of 31 models built by FPT under the orientation of Project 06 – a project focuses on developing applications for population data, electronic identification and verification to serve national digital transformation.
Using FPT Smart Kiosk located at Public Administration Centers, people can verify citizen information via chip-embedded ID cards; quickly register for service numbers; submit documents on the administrative procedure handling system of the province/city, pay the application processing fee, monitor the handling process, check notifications from the handling agencies, and view the results of application processing; look up administrative procedures; evaluate the application handling process of the authorities; and experience other smart services and applications.
As of June 2024, in five provinces/cities including Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, and Can Tho, FPT Smart Kiosk has served more than 53,000 times of citizens taking numbers to do administrative procedures, thousands of searches for document information, views of information, registrations for document submission, online payments as well as satisfaction ratings. FPT IS’s solution has helped people save nearly 70% of time in carrying out procedures, civil servants reduce their workload by 70%, and accuracy in processing documents increase to over 95%. In addition, leaders of management agencies can immediately grasp people’s needs to provide timely support through a real-time reporting system.

In order to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s digital government, digital economy, and digital society, FPT IS has been cooperating with ministries/sectors and localities across the country to carry out a dual transformation based on technology. FPT IS is currently working with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to pioneer the implementation of citizen information verification via chip-embedded ID cards with the Anti-fraud Solution for Digital Identity Verification, FPT.IDCheck.
Since 2022, FPT IS has coordinated with provinces and cities to deploy 12 models under the orientation of Project 06, suitable to the characteristics of nearly 20 localities in Vietnam. FPT IS and its advanced technology ecosystem have been aiding in the construction of provincial/city IT infrastructure associated with Project 06, promoting the digital transformation process and building smart cities, thus enabling citizens, businesses, civil servants, and leaders to live, work, direct, and manage using “accurate, sufficient, clean, live” data while ensuring information safety and security.
