Genfarma and FPT officially go live with a modern digital enterprise management system after just two months of deployment
Recently, Genfarma Joint Stock Company – a new biopharmaceutical enterprise in Vietnam – together with FPT officially brought the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud enterprise management system into operation after only two months of deployment. In a project that simultaneously had to meet stringent requirements for compliance, data traceability, and validation documentation standardization in the high-tech pharmaceutical industry, the rapid implementation and go-live of the system is considered a remarkable milestone.
The project marks a strategic step for Genfarma in its journey toward building international-standard management capabilities, gradually establishing a data-driven operating model, and laying the foundation for future research and production expansion plans.
Genfarma and FPT officially launched the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud enterprise management system after two months of deployment
Implemented from March 16, 2026, the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud system, consulted and deployed by FPT, includes core modules for finance and accounting, procurement, and supply chain management. The system enables Genfarma to standardize operations in real time while enhancing control and ensuring data integrity across procurement, warehousing, logistics, and finance-accounting processes. This is especially critical for pharmaceutical, vaccine, and biotech enterprises, where all data must ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability throughout operations.
A key highlight of the project lies in its ability to simultaneously meet stringent standards in the high-tech pharmaceutical sector, including GMP-WHO, GSP, and GLP, while also supporting batch-level traceability management and expiry-date control based on the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principle. The system was also designed to meet audit trail and end-to-end data traceability requirements — essential criteria for internationally standardized pharmaceutical operations.
To ensure both project quality and timeline, FPT closely collaborated with Genfarma in developing templates, structuring documentation, and completing system validation documents in accordance with pharmaceutical industry standards prior to operational assessment. This is considered one of the critical requirements to ensure the system meets criteria related to accuracy, consistency, traceability, and operational reliability. At the same time, project teams from both sides continuously coordinated on user training, system practice, and process standardization to ensure stable operations from the official go-live date onward.
