Vietcombank collaborates with the FPT IS – Intellect joint name to enhance the experience for corporate customers

On the afternoon of July 18, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) and the FPT IS – Intellect joint name officially launched the project “Expanding the payments and cash management system for corporate customers” (PCM system) to enhance the experience for Vietcombank’s corporate customers.

In 2019, Vietcombank collaborated with the FPT IS – Intellect joint name to build the first modern and comprehensive PCM system in Vietnam, offering corporate customers with comprehensive and superior solution packages. As soon as it was put into operation, the PCM system quickly became the main system at Vietcombank, serving more than 3,000 customers and processing more than 1.4 million transactions monthly (as of June 2024) with outstanding growth in transaction value.

In 2024, Vietcombank decided to continue working with the FPT IS – Intellect joint name to expand the PCM system to meet the growing demands of corporate customers and stay up to date with new technology trends in a number of areas, including improving, changing 103 features, enhancing digital connectivity with customers through direct API connection, improving the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) in a more modern and friendly way, adding specialized features for customers, and improving efficiency in the onboarding process.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Vietcombank and Head of Project Implementation Committee, affirmed that this is a key project, playing a critical role in the digital transformation strategy and improving the bank’s competitiveness, with the ultimate goal of making the PCM system the leading payments and cash management platform in Vietnam.

“In light of the success of the PCM  project phase 1, we believe in the capacity and implementation experience of the FPT IS – Intellect joint name in providing digital banking solutions. Vietcombank is dedicated to allocating all resources required to support FPT IS – Intellect to implement the project quickly, effectively and on schedule,” Mr. Cuong reaffirmed.

Mr. Uppili Srinivasan – President and Chief Operating Officer of Intellect – pledged that Intellect will provide the most advanced technology, professional support and skilled personnel to guarantee the project’s success. With the three parties’ cooperation, Intellect believes the new PCM system will significantly assist Vietcombank and increase its efficiency, enabling the bank to maintain its dominant position in the Vietnamese banking sector.
