Grand Finale and Award Ceremony of VioEdu Arena 2025: An offline event gathering 2,600 contestants in a burst of emotions
Following the resounding success of the VioEdu Arena Northern Region Finals, which brought together 1,426 students, the morning of July 26 witnessed 1,183 outstanding “warriors” from the Southern Region converging at FPT Polytechnic College (Quang Trung Software City, Ho Chi Minh City) for an intense showdown. This marked the first-ever nationwide offline Grand Finale of “Dau truong VioEdu” (VioEdu Arena) since the online knowledge competition was launched five years ago, attracting more than 2,600 students from 50 provinces and cities across Vietnam (based on the former administrative boundaries).
The Offline Grand Finale was held simultaneously in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Launched in May 2025, the VioEdu Arena – Grand Finale is a nationwide knowledge playground for students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. The competition comprises two rounds: an Online Qualifying Round open to all students with a VioEdu account, and an Offline Grand Finale held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for contestants who advanced from the qualifiers or were granted special entry based on the Organizing Committee’s criteria. A highlight of this year’s season is that, for the first time, the contest was held in both regions in an offline format, breaking down geographical barriers and creating a shared arena that connects students from provinces and cities across the country.
The test content was tailored to each grade level, combining Vietnamese Math, Vietnamese Language, and English Math. Each contestant had 20 minutes to complete the exam on VioEdu’s online system, with results evaluated based on scores, completion time, and number of incorrect answers. After each test session, students were ranked and awarded on the same day at the recognition ceremony, fostering excitement and encouraging a strong competitive spirit among participants.

At the Southern Region Grand Finale, the excitement began early as hundreds of parents accompanied their children to the venue, ready to witness key moments in their competition journey. The first test session commenced at 7:10 a.m., featuring students from Grades 4 and 5. While the contestants were fully engaged in their challenges, hundreds of parents followed the live broadcast of the Top 100 leaderboard on a giant screen, experiencing a full spectrum of emotions.
The Award and Recognition Ceremony for the Southern Region’s Top 20
The Southern Region’s Top 20 Award and Recognition Ceremony was graced by the presence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc – Director of the VioEdu Online Education System, alongside leaders from FPT’s K-12 and Polytechnic campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong.
“Vietnamese students are truly eager to learn and passionate about competition. That’s why the online edition of VioEdu Arena attracts millions of participants each season, and this offline edition drew as many as 2,600 contestants from across the country. Some students even traveled up to 12 hours by car to join the event – a testament to how meaningful this platform is to them,” a representative of the Organizing Committee shared.
Earlier, on July 20, the Northern Region Grand Finale took place with great success at FPT Polytechnic College Hanoi (13 Trinh Van Bo Street), bringing together 1,426 contestants. There, the Organizing Committee honored and awarded the Top 100 outstanding participants, marking a season of success and notable innovations.
“Only technology and online platforms can enable such a distinctive competition format – where students compete, receive instant results, and are celebrated immediately after finishing their challenge,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc remarked at the award ceremony.

Nguyen Dinh Phong, a Top 10 Grade 8 contestant from the Northern Region, shared his heartfelt reflections after an emotional competition: “VioEdu Arena is an intellectual playground that is organized in a highly professional and well-structured manner. I feel truly honored to have my name announced in the Top 10, and I am especially grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement from my parents throughout my journey in this contest.”
Meanwhile, fellow Grade 8 contestant Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh praised the quality of this year’s test: “The test was scientifically designed, with a clear level of differentiation and many questions that truly challenged contestants’ logical thinking skills. Thanks to that, I had the opportunity to assess my own knowledge acquisition and capabilities.”
