FPT and MobiFone launch centralized commission management system – enhancing real-time cost management capabilities

Recently, FPT and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation marked a significant milestone by officially launching the centralized commission management system. The implementation of this system not only enables MobiFone to optimize cost calculation processes and enhance transparency in payment data, but also serves as a foundational platform for the comprehensive digitalization of revenue and cost management. This, in turn, strengthens the company’s competitiveness in the rapidly evolving digital telecommunications market.

FPT and MobiFone officially launch centralized commission management system

Throughout the implementation process, FPT’s project team worked closely with MobiFone’s business units to comprehensively execute all stages – from requirement surveying and analysis to solution design, software upgrades, training, and system handover. Specifically, the project completed administrative configurations to enable online cost calculation and advance payments based on input data, while also updating detailed and summary reporting systems to track newly incurred expenses.

At the same time, existing business operations were refined and upgraded, such as the calculation engine to ensure greater speed and accuracy of cost data. The policy management module was completed with new functions to set up and activate online cost calculation cycles, as well as to support policy approval workflows. The cost calculation module was enhanced to fully support processes for monitoring, calculating period-end costs, and handling erroneous transactions. Meanwhile, the executed cost module added capabilities to verify data and update the status of online cost payments or advances. The reporting system was also expanded with new summary and reconciliation report templates for cost data.

A notable feature of the project is the transaction-type-based charging system, applied across channels such as mSocial, VASOnline, Transmission/MobiFiber, and the IT Center. Activities such as package registration, renewal, and service payment are charged in accordance with predefined policies, enabling both real-time and period-end cost calculation, with callback functionality to the source system. The system consolidates costs for period-end reconciliation and incorporates callback processes to update cost information promptly.

The project’s success is the result of close collaboration between the FPT project team and MobiFone’s business units. Following the upgrade, the system not only meets current online charging requirements but also lays the groundwork for expanding centralized revenue and cost management capabilities, while enhancing real-time data processing capacity for the entire sales system.

FPT remains committed to accompanying businesses in their digital technology initiatives, helping to improve operational efficiency and service quality, and driving sustainable growth on the digital foundation.
