VioEdu Arena 2026 Finals: 3,550 Students Compete Across Three Regions
The VioEdu online education system held its Regional Round 3 and National Finals for the 2026 VioEdu Arena. This large-scale, in-person academic competition, held directly on computers, is open to students from grade 1 to grade 8 and reflects FPT’s broader commitment to applying technology and building digital competency among Vietnam’s younger generation.
On July 26, 2026, the 3,550 top-performing students entered the thrilling in-person round of the VioEdu Arena at three venues: Nguyễn Như Uyên Secondary School in Hà Nội, FPT Đà Nẵng School (Primary, Secondary, and High School) in Đà Nẵng, and Lê Văn Tám Primary School in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Compared to the first in-person season in 2025, which was held in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City with 2,650 contestants, the 2026 finals expanded to include a venue in Đà Nẵng and saw a significant increase in the number of participants. Spanning the North, Central, and South regions, contestants competed in two knockout rounds held on the same day:
Morning session (Regional qualifying round): Contestants competed against hundreds of other students in the same grade level for a spot in the top 30 of their region.
Afternoon session (National finals): The top contestants competed directly for the championship title, with the honors and awards ceremony held the same day.

Match progress and each student’s ranking were updated in real time on LED screens at every venue, creating an energetic atmosphere for both contestants and the parents watching.

Under normal online testing conditions, contestants only ever encounter one another through a computer screen. This event gave them the chance to meet in person and compete directly alongside peers who share the same passion, making for a memorable and meaningful summer experience.

According to the organizers, the busiest session recorded 443 students competing simultaneously at a single venue. The technology infrastructure was fully prepared to support operations, technical monitoring, and automated scoring in line with competition rules, helping reduce wait times and optimize overall event management.

This year’s finals concluded with total prizes worth 1 billion VND, including exclusive rewards such as scholarships, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, medals, stuffed toys, and other gifts. The organizers hope to establish the in-person VioEdu Arena as an annual summer event, creating a valuable space where students nationwide can experience technology and knowledge ahead of the new school year, while gradually building the skills needed for a generation of globally engaged digital citizens.

Launched in 2020, the VioEdu Arena has attracted more than 20 million student participations across its various seasons, becoming one of the most widely recognized online knowledge competitions among students and schools alike.
In the arena, students tackle a series of interactive knowledge challenges within a 15- to 20-minute time frame. The system automatically ranks participants based on the total number of correct answers, response speed, and number of incorrect answers, all aligned with Vietnam’s 2018 General Education Curriculum. This timed competitive format helps students sharpen logical thinking, reflexes, and concentration.
At the same time, the VioEdu Arena serves as an essential stepping stone for students to become familiar with technology-based test formats early on, building the confidence they will need for future aptitude and thinking-skills assessments. Beyond its value to individual students, the competition has also earned strong appreciation and close support from schools and education authorities alike, thanks to its meaningful social impact.
VioEdu plays a vivid role in advancing the Ministry of Education and Training’s policy of applying information technology and promoting digital transformation in teaching and learning. This online competition helps level the playing field in access to technology for students across every region of the country, fostering proactive and healthy learning motivation among young people.
