GELEX Group collaborates with FPT Corporation to elevate HR management
Recently, the leaders of FPT Corporation and GELEX Group held a high-level meeting and officially launched the FPT.iHRP centralized human resource and payroll software system project on a group-wide scale. The project is directly implemented by FPT IS, aiming to enhance overall HR management efficiency and promote internal process digitalization at GELEX.
Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy CEO of GELEX Group, and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh, CEO of FPT IS, signed the kickoff memorandum.
The event was attended by high-level leaders from both FPT Corporation and GELEX Group, marking a significant collaboration aimed at innovating human resource management for one of Vietnam’s leading industrial and infrastructure groups. Previously, the two corporations had signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to promote comprehensive digital transformation, aiming for a long-term sustainable partnership.

Specifically, GELEX has decided to collaborate with FPT IS to implement the comprehensive human resource management system FPT.iHRP. The project will be rolled out on a group-wide scale, encompassing the headquarters and 13 member companies of GELEX, divided into two phases. The first phase will focus on modules for managing personal information, timekeeping, and personal services through a mobile application, enabling employees to update information and access it anytime, anywhere. The second phase will focus on optimizing activities related to managing salaries, bonuses, insurance, training, and performance evaluation.
After nearly 35 years of development, GELEX now has a workforce of nearly 10,000 employees and a widespread network across many provinces and cities nationwide, operating in a diverse range of industries from industrial production to energy infrastructure. The Group has continuously achieved impressive milestones, such as being ranked in the TOP 50 Vietnam Best Profitable for five consecutive years and among the Top 100 Brand Finance Viet Nam 2024. As of the end of the third quarter of 2024, GELEX reported a consolidated revenue of VND 23,617 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 2,270 billion, exceeding the full-year 2024 profit target. Recently, GELEX was also rated A for creditworthiness by VIS Rating.
With its remarkable scale and growth rate, along with its future development strategy, GELEX Group is also facing the challenge of enhancing efficiency and synchronization in human resource management. Accordingly, GELEX aims to carry out a comprehensive digital transformation of its centralized human resource management system, standardizing human resource management processes across the entire group and optimizing costs, increasing labor productivity, and enhancing the employee experience while working at one of Vietnam’s leading industrial and infrastructure groups.

Given the large scale of the project involving numerous member companies, both parties jointly analyzed and defined the core objectives and challenges. The project will focus primarily on building a centralized data-driven management system, encompassing: managing employee data across the entire group’s organizational structure, managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment, timekeeping, payroll, social insurance, rewards/discipline, training, and career development, among others. All data will be centrally managed and reports will be generated quickly, ensuring optimized management operations and decision-making for all levels of leadership, while enhancing the employee experience across the group.
