HoSE successfully operates the new trading system deployed by FPT
On the morning of July 5, 2021, the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HoSE) officially operates the new trading system which has been deployed by FPT Corporation in just 100 days. As of 8:30 AM, all 73 securities companies have successfully connected to the system and are ready for the first trading session of the week.
FPT has built the new system to tackle the overload for HoSE since the beginning of March this year when the overload issue had lasted for 3 months. Accordingly, FPT is responsible for three major tasks, including: Modifying the securities trading software of the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) to correspond to the characteristics of the transactions on HoSE; Rewriting the communication system with securities companies; Integrating with software from other organizations such as the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD), etc.
HoSE’s new trading system is successfully operated on the morning of July 5.
According to Mr. Duong Dung Trieu, Chairman of FPT Information System Co., Ltd. (FPT IS), the new trading system is capable of handling 3-5 million transactions/day, completely settling the overload issue on HoSE. In addition, FPT has also fully planned how to handle the incidents (if any), and is ready to upgrade and adjust the system to respond to the needs of the market.
After its implementation, the new system is expected to have a positive impact on the investors, settle the overload issue, and the liquidity is also expected to reach 30,000 – 32,000 billion VND per session.
