Phu Tai and FPT set a new milestone: Successfully go live with Cloud ERP across five stone business units in just three months
Recently, Phu Tai Joint Stock Company (Phu Tai), in collaboration with FPT Corporation, successfully completed the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition ahead of schedule, delivering the system in just three months across five key subsidiaries in its stone business. This achievement builds on the proven best-practice model established at PhuTai Quartz Stone, demonstrating FPT’s capability for rapid implementation and scalable digital transformation across the enterprise. The project marks a significant milestone in Phu Tai’s digital transformation strategy, laying the foundation for a centralized, data-driven management model that will accelerate business growth amid increasingly intense global competition.
FPT and Phu Tai project teams during the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition implementation
Specifically, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition was deployed with core modules covering Finance and Accounting, Sales, Procurement, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Quality Management, and Electronic Invoice Integration for five subsidiaries of Phu Tai, including Phu Tai Binh Dinh Quartz Stone One Member Co., Ltd., Tuan Dat Minerals One Member Co., Ltd., Enterprise 380, Binh Dinh Stone Processing Factory, and Nhon Hoa Construction Materials Manufacturing Enterprise.
Unlike the previous implementation at a single business unit, the project team simultaneously executed every project phase—including business assessment, solution design, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live—for all five subsidiaries within only three months.
According to FPT’s project representatives, the greatest challenge stemmed from the unique characteristics of the stone mining and processing industry, which involves an integrated and highly complex operational value chain requiring end-to-end management across raw materials, manufacturing, finance, and intercompany operations. The project also faced an exceptionally demanding timeline, along with the challenge of change management as many users were adopting the modern SAP platform for the first time.
FPT and Phu Tai project teams worked closely throughout the implementation
To address these challenges, the two teams collaborated continuously to maximize the adoption of SAP Public Cloud’s standard business scopes while flexibly adapting the solution to Phu Tai’s actual operational requirements. A series of training programs, workshops, and hands-on operational support activities were also conducted to help users quickly adapt to the new management model.
The most demanding phase of the project was business process analysis and end-to-end solution design, during which the implementation team had to strike a balance between SAP’s international best practices and the operational characteristics of each subsidiary. Nevertheless, this process enabled all stakeholders to gradually align their management approach, standardize data, and establish a unified operational foundation across the organization.
Thanks to the close collaboration and strong commitment of both teams, the system went live ahead of schedule. Leveraging experience gained from the previous deployment significantly optimized the implementation process, shortening the project timeline while ensuring system quality and stability.
The new system establishes an international-standard management platform that enables data-driven analysis, forecasting, and decision-making. It also streamlines business processes across the entire value chain—from procurement and warehousing to manufacturing, sales, and finance. By connecting operations end-to-end, the platform provides comprehensive control over every production stage. Most importantly, it enhances transparency across the governance system between the parent company and its subsidiaries, supporting Phu Tai’s long-term objective of improving operational productivity while preparing for global expansion.
Phu Tai and FPT announce the enterprise-wide digital transformation strategy for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition project
Previously, in December 2025, Phu Tai and FPT jointly held the official launch ceremony for Phu Tai’s enterprise-wide digital transformation strategy and kicked off the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition across seven key subsidiaries operating in the stone and wood manufacturing sectors. The initiative is among the largest Cloud ERP projects in Vietnam’s building materials manufacturing industry, marking a major step toward establishing a centralized, modern, data-driven management model to accelerate business growth in an increasingly competitive global market.
According to Phu Tai’s representatives, the successful implementation at PhuTai Quartz Stone created a proven blueprint that significantly accelerated deployment across the five stone business units. The company expects the Cloud ERP system to operate effectively across the entire organization, providing a solid foundation for a new stage of growth that is more modern, standardized, and better positioned to compete in Vietnam’s stone and wood industries.
In the next phase, both parties will focus on completing the Cloud ERP implementation for the remaining two wood manufacturing subsidiaries—Phu Tai Binh Dinh Wood One Member Co., Ltd. and Thang Loi Enterprise—in line with the planned go-live schedule in July 2026. Unlike the stone business model, the wood industry implementation will be developed entirely from scratch and tailored to the unique characteristics of wood manufacturing processes, while still adhering to the Group’s unified governance principles.
