FPT and Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center Bring the “Digital Journey” Closer to Citizens
On October 9, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Day and the launch ceremony for the 2026 Lifelong Learning Week took place at SIHUB, attracting leaders from municipal departments and agencies, business representatives, youth union members, students, and thousands of local residents. As the consulting and implementation partner for the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application, FPT showcased the application’s comprehensive features alongside practical technology solutions, giving citizens the opportunity to explore digital services that address their everyday needs firsthand.
Held in anticipation of Vietnam’s National Digital Transformation Day on October 10 and Vietnam Digital Citizen Day on October 15, the event welcomed more than 1,000 participants. It served as a practical initiative to advance digital transformation for the benefit of citizens, businesses, and the city’s development.
Alongside a series of technology experiences and opportunities to explore digital services, the program encouraged individuals to pursue lifelong learning, continuously update their knowledge, and develop new skills, particularly digital competencies, to adapt to technological advances. These activities helped foster a culture of lifelong learning within the community and nurture proactive digital citizens who are eager to learn and ready to master technology.
The “Digital Journey” – Seamless Digital Experiences Across Every Touchpoint
A key highlight of the event was the “Digital Journey” experience on the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application. FPT’s team rapidly developed and deployed an end-to-end digital journey to enable citizens to complete digital interactions throughout the event. Through a series of digitized activities, participants could move seamlessly from check-in and exploring various touchpoints to collecting milestones and entering a Lucky Draw to win prizes. Technology thus became more than an abstract or inaccessible concept; it was transformed into an intuitive and engaging interactive experience.
The technology exhibition area, the “Digital Knowledge” quiz, and the photobooth also attracted large numbers of participants. Beyond providing lively and engaging experiences, these activities offered opportunities for citizens to learn about technology, raise their awareness of digital safety, and capture memorable moments at the event.
FPT Delivers Practical Value Through Digital Solutions
Under the theme “Technology at Your Fingertips – Convenience at Every Touchpoint,” FPT showcased two flagship solutions closely aligned with citizens’ everyday needs.
The highlight was the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application, a platform that enables residents to conveniently access city information and digital services. The “Digital Journey,” delivered directly through the application, helped encourage participation and generated impressive results, with nearly 4,000 new downloads and more than 25,000 visits recorded on the event day alone. This contributed to the application surpassing 1,700,000 total downloads. The platform currently offers 16 features to support citizens in looking up information, interacting with the city, and accessing digital services.
Alongside this, the online health screening service on the Long Chau platform offered a more proactive approach to healthcare through a brief questionnaire. Participants enthusiastically answered multiple-choice questions, explored potential health risks, and conveniently accessed preliminary screening information.
As the first Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Day to be organized on a citywide scale, the event marked an important effort to bring digital transformation closer to the community. FPT worked closely with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center throughout the process, from developing the initial concept and plan to successfully implementing the program, helping bring digital experiences to more citizens.
In its role as the implementation partner for the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application, FPT continues to enhance the platform and develop digital services to improve user experiences and encourage the adoption of technology in everyday life. Building on the experiences shared at the event, FPT reaffirms its commitment to working alongside the city throughout its digital transformation journey, with the goal of building a community of proactive, connected digital citizens who are confident in their ability to master technology.
