Vietnam Banks Association holds working session with FPT Corporation
On the morning of January 21, 2026, in Hanoi, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA), held a working session with FPT Information System Company Limited (FPT IS), a member of FPT Corporation, to discuss technology solutions and digital transformation platforms for the banking sector.

Attending the meeting on behalf of the Vietnam Banks Association were Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman and Secretary General, along with representatives from several departments and units of the Association’s Standing Office.
Representing FPT Corporation were Mr. Dao Hong Giang, Executive Vice President and Director of the Banking and Finance Sector, FPT IS; Ms. Nguyen Hong Oanh, Product Director of the Banking and Finance Sector, FPT IS; Mr. Vu Minh Tuan, Consulting Director of the Banking and Finance Sector; and other members of the FPT IS delegation.

During the working session, the two sides focused on discussing cooperation orientations and plans for 2026, with key areas including technical support, joint training programs, experience sharing, research and consulting activities, and collaboration in implementing initiatives to promote digital transformation—thereby contributing to improved operational efficiency for commercial banks.
Mr. Dao Hong Giang and representatives of FPT Corporation presented an overview of FPT’s capabilities and experience in the banking and financial services sector. With more than 30 years of experience, FPT has deployed solutions for over 100 financial and banking institutions both in Viet Nam and internationally, and currently serves as a strategic partner to many global technology and financial corporations. FPT representatives emphasized that the Group’s competitive advantage lies in its team of experts with deep understanding of banking operations, strong technological mastery, and the ability to deliver international-standard solutions tailored to the Vietnamese market.
Key solutions offered by FPT include digital banking governance, digital signatures, electronic contracts, credit scoring systems capable of operating multiple assessment models simultaneously, as well as teller solutions featuring rapid deployment, high security, and operational flexibility. FPT also expressed its readiness to develop customized applications and solutions tailored to the specific needs of individual banks.
In addition, FPT introduced the FPT TradeFlat platform—a digital finance ecosystem researched and developed by FPT, leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain to establish seamless and transparent connectivity between banks and enterprises. TradeFlat addresses end-to-end trade finance challenges by automating connectivity and real-time data analysis from enterprise systems, enabling banks to gain a comprehensive view of corporate financial health and supply chains.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung highly appreciated FPT’s technological capabilities and solutions, noting that platforms such as TradeFlat hold significant potential in helping enterprises overcome capital constraints, while supporting member banks in optimizing processes, strengthening risk management capabilities, and enhancing competitiveness amid the current wave of digital transformation.
The Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Vietnam Banks Association also highlighted key areas of interest for banks, including trade finance, supply chain finance, and credit scoring for individual and corporate customers. He proposed that FPT IS organize in-depth thematic workshops to enable member institutions to directly exchange views, discuss, and assess practical implementation feasibility.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of FPT Corporation expressed their appreciation to VNBA leadership for facilitating the introduction of FPT’s technology solutions. The session opened up multiple practical cooperation directions between VNBA and FPT in the coming period, contributing to bringing advanced digital solutions closer to member banking institutions.
